Dinner in Rudesheim

After a visit to Marksburg Castle, followed by a relaxing cruise on the Rhine, we were ready for dinner in Rudesheim.

Walking along the Drosselgasse in Rudesheim on our way to Rudesheimer Schloss.
The 15th century Drosselgasse is a narrow pedestrian street with shops, wine bars and restaurants.

Wonderful outside seating on a perfect June evening.

German cuisine
I failed to get a good photo of the soup.

The meal was tasty and the wine excellent!

Riesling is my wine of choice.
I was very happy in this area of Germany!

It was a fun evening. Lots of audience participation. Marching bands and bells.
The duo played everything from Elvis to Willie Nelson.
Of course there were some German tunes in the mix.

Prost!

After dinner we walked back to the ship.

Good memories of Rudesheim!

Say what?

The next day we took the motor coach to Heidelberg.
Come along with me to Heidelberg Castle and walk the streets of this beautiful old city.
