Ring of Kerry

As travel days go, this was a 10. Another sunny beautiful day for a ride around the Ring of Kerry on the motor coach.

The Ring of Kerry is in southwest Ireland in County Kerry.
The "ring" is around the Iveragh peninsula.

Wildflowers in every color were blooming along the roadside.

Here we are with the Charlie Chaplin statue in Waterville.
The Ireland National Circus was in town.

The coast in Waterville

Stone fences, sheep and cattle were everywhere in Ireland.

Another overlook along the coast.

The road signs could be confusing.
Most of the signs are in both Irish Gaelic and English.
Water, boats, sheep...

Skellig Michael is an island. I guess the boat takes you there?

We did see sheep wandering along the highway.

Our lunch stop with a view.
Evidently fog can be a problem.
We were lucky to have a sunny clear day for the trip.

The area had peat bogs and the wildflowers seemed to like the soil.
