Louisiana Pecan Pie

This morning I made a pecan pie.
I thought I would share my "go to" recipe.

First gather the ingredients and prepare the crust.
I used a prepared refrigerator crust.
I can't make one any better so why bother.
I once lied to my mother-in-law when she asked if I made the pie crust.
I felt that she shouldn't have asked in the first place!

Oops! I forgot the tablespoon of flour for the photo.
The flour is important for consistency.

The recipe comes from this cookbook by Glenda Adams. Glenda has written two more cookbooks that I use often. The Otis Adams, Jr. Family represented Cross County and won the Arkansas Farm Family of the Year long ago.

Here is Glenda's recipe.

Mix the ingredients together and place in the oven.
Today the pie shared the oven with baked apples.

Here it is! Isn't it pretty?

Enjoy.
